RIP Uncle Jimmy

well today was my uncles funeral service. I have to say it was really really hard for everyone. I mean i know you never expect anyone to pass really but i definately didnt expect it. This weekend has been pretty hard for everyone but its understood that hes in a much better place than here. My grandmother (his sister) went up and spoke about him and everyone was so proud that she did a good job and didnt break down. But all in all it was a nice service and he will definately be missed by me. He was a wonderful man and uncle and he always made sure that everyone had whatever they needed. I remember going to college he would always let us get his big ford suv so i get back and forth with my stuff. He was a blessing to so many people outside of the family as well.

On a brighter note....i guess...not really
ive just really been ready for this semester to be over with. I mean it seems like this school year has been the hardest so far. I mean not so much the school work but me not really being prepared for anything. I dont know. It just feels like ive had so many downs this year and its been tough. Im just waiting for something big and wonderful to come along and turn it all around. I thought i would have more to say today but im not in the best of moods right now....

check itttt

well school is picking up now that the semester is about to end. oh how i wish summer was here already....wait nvm im STILL gonna be in school. but atleast my schedule can be a little more chill.
Last weekend my baby came to see me and went to church with me yesterday! I was excited that he was able to meet some of the new friends ive made there.
School is making me sooo blah right now. i have a statistics test tommorow and the weather here is CRAZY. There is flooding, really strong winds, possible hail( i stayed in today after class so i dont know if it happened or not), and rain. I hope they cancel class lol. seriously though. ive been feeling so unmotivated lately and i dont know why it has just hit me like this but....hopefully i can get through it.
p.s. my elf lashes got ruined by the wind saturday :( lol my eyes get so watery when its windy out and the glue stopped being sticky and my lashes got killed

So yea, whats going on with everyone?? I need to think up a fun interactive post soon to get the readers "involved" and see whats up with yall. I really enjoy reading everyones posts...even if i dont comment sometimes i still love it!!

Forreal

okay i know i just posted a minute ago....but that was a review...so i dont count that here.



Today was an interesting day i guess. Went to class, handled some business, and went to a worship service on campus. I only stayed like 30 minutes or so because we were outside in the cold and wind and im a REAL a..hole when im hungry im not even joking....anybody who really knows me can agree. lol

My uncle had brain surgery today and later suffered a seizure. I got soooo sad just thinking about him and how im not at home with my family. I know that i HAVE to have faith in God in order to make it through...but its really hard at times.

I was just thinking of how small my family is and how i really do appreciate, care, and love everyone in my family. Theyve helped me so much throughout the years...especially with being in college.



I dont know why when bad things happen to people i get so emotional. Sometimes i cry just thinking about how they or their family may feel....almost as if i take on that position myself.

I pray for strength all the time and everyday my prayers are answered. Throught being in college so far i have learned so much about life. Whether its mine or how other people are. Ive learned how to trust, how to really care for others, and how to listen... i mean really listen to anyone that has something to say...thats positive. Im still learning how to get better at these things everyday and im so thankful for that!



ohhhh yea, i cut my hair last weekend myself. I trimmed my ends and gave my hair some layers! I razored it and i was pretty scared because i wasnt sure if it would work or not. To my surprise it did! and i didnt have to spend a dime. However, i dont recommend this to anyone who really cares about the outcome of your hair...which is probably everyone! I can be really spontaneous and kinda reckless when it comes to my hair....thank God for strong hair and softsheen carson's intensive conditioner lol.

So i got the creams to see how they looked on my skin color because whenever i looked for reviews i only saw them tried on people wayyy lighter than me. Im a chawklet sista lol....well with some caramel mixed in there

My review on these items?

Lashes from E.L.f. well they are indeed flemsy like but they look sooo dollicious on! No lie. all day i felt like fluttering my lashes lol. For a dollar thats definately worth it!!

Cream shadows: well i used on today to keep my shadow sticking, kinda as a base and i really had to use ALOT of shadow to keep it from creasing. Im giving this a thumbs DOWN. I mean if i use it again and something changes...i will let yall know! But for now it sucks....i miss my nyx jumbos(left them at my babes house sadly)

The powder worked wonderfully, i was bronzed all day long! So worth it!

EYEKO!!!

The tinted eye cream is WONDERFUL for women of color i must say!! I got that one because i felt that the normal cream would not really be for me....and i was pretty much right.

The regular cream was okay... i mean it kinda made me look ashy but i glowed at the same time lol how is that possible??i think it works better for the lightskindeded chicks lol.

The fat balm-strawberry smells delicious!!!!!! and it looks really cute on. my camera didnt want to cooperate anymore lol

Last night social

Last night i went to a social event at this church that i just started going to last sunday. My friend/roomate knows alot of ppl there and she invited me to come along to a social. The theme was black and white but....ick i hate wearing just black and white so i decided on a white dress with a brown cropped sweater and some brown animal print heels.

Omg seriously and honestly i had sooooo much fun. It turned out to be like a big dance/party. I mean they had songs from like wayyyyy back. Some stuff from like the 60's lol, the 80's, 90's...etc. I was surprised outta my mind because these were NOT church songs! I mean they didnt have cursing in them cause they played all the clean versions but i honestly had alot of fun with the ppl there. I met some new people and saw some people i hadnt seen since my first year hear at college. That was an absolutely fun way to have fun instead of going to a club on friday night! (yea, i believe my clubbin days are officially over.....long story for another blog)
